Refund and Returns Policy

1. Introduction

At Kanoons.com, operated by Kanoons Law and Tax Consultants Private Limited, we are committed to delivering efficient and reliable consultancy services related to documentation, compliance, taxation, business registration, and intellectual property filings. This Refund and Returns Policy governs all transactions and service engagements through this platform.

2. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to all services purchased through Kanoons.com, including but not limited to:

  • Advisory and documentation support
  • Business or tax registrations
  • Intellectual property filing coordination
  • Compliance and administrative processing services

3. General Refund Policy

All services offered are customised, digital, and rendered upon confirmation. Therefore, we follow a strict no-refund policy, subject to the limited exceptions outlined below.

Refunds will be considered only in the following situations:

  • Service Not Initiated: If no work has commenced and you cancel within 24 hours of payment.
  • Duplicate Transaction: If an unintentional duplicate payment was made for the same service.
  • Platform or Technical Error: In the event of a confirmed system error causing billing or service issues.

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:

  • Once work (research, processing, filing, or draft preparation) has started.
  • Cancellation requests made after 24 hours of payment.
  • Delays due to incorrect, incomplete, or missing information from the client.
  • Delays caused by third-party or government authorities.
  • If the service has already been completed or delivered.
  • If a client changes their mind after ordering.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel only before the service is initiated.
  • Eligible cancellations may incur a deduction of up to 20% as administrative charges.
  • Once service processing has started, cancellations and refunds are not permitted.

5. Refund Process

To request a refund (only if eligible):

  1. Email us at support[at]kanoons[dot]com with your order ID, payment receipt, and refund reason.
  2. Our team will respond within 5 business days with eligibility confirmation.
  3. Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Kanoons reserves the right to reject refund requests that do not meet the conditions listed above.

6. Compliance with Applicable Laws

This policy complies with the following Indian laws and consumer protection regulations:

  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • Information Technology Act, 2000
  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872
  • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023

7. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

In the event of a dispute:

  • Parties agree to attempt resolution through written communication first.
  • Unresolved matters will be resolved via arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
  • Legal jurisdiction will lie with courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
